Purpose of the Role: The management of all contract construction activities and construction teams. Ensuring that the project is executed safely, to a high quality standard, on schedule and within the allocated budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all on site construction activities. and construction labour teams, both direct and/or subcontracted.
  • Implementing project related quality procedures including checklists, inspection plans and handover documents etc. 
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures including the proper use of  PPE, EHS will advise the PPE to be used.
  • Implementation of all quality and safety procedures, and ensuring that all personnel and subcontractors are in compliance with these procedures.
  • Making sure that all documentation is in place to allow works to proceed (i.e. work permits, method statements, safe plans of action etc.)
  • Monitoring of project schedule to ensure that relevant targets are achieved and progress is communicated to project teams.
  • Monitoring non-conformances and ensuring that relevant reports are completed and reviewed with the construction team.
  • Maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that all commitments made by the construction team are achieved.
  • Ensuring that all materials, plant, sub-contractors and labour are allocated to the project in sufficient time to ensure that target dates are met.
  • To ensure that all scope changes are communicated back to the commercial department and approval is obtained prior to commencement.

Experience Requirement

  • 2+ years’ experience in managing construction teams.
  • Trade qualification desirable.
  • Good knowledge of modular systems is desirable. 
  • Skilled in the use of general hand tools and power tools.
  • Experienced with working at heights.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings.
  • Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Driving License.
  • IOSH, IPAF Training is an advantage.  
  • IT literacy. 
  • Good attention to detail. 
  • Health and safety training. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
